Renjitha Ignatius, MD
Dr. Renjitha Ignatius is an oncologist and hematologist for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Hillsborough county. Dr. Ignatius believes in providing personalized care for her patients, utilizing the best evidence-based treatments available. She has been an active participant in numerous multidisciplinary tumor clinics and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the prestigious Journal of Clinical Oncology. Her areas of interest include malignancies of the breast, head and neck, as well as gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. Dr. Ignatius has extensive experience in treating patients with central nervous system cancers, lung cancer and hematological conditions.
Dr. Ignatius had the distinct honor of graduating among the top five students in her class at Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram Kerala, India. She completed both her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Medical Oncology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Michigan. Before moving to Florida, Dr. Ignatius served as associate professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and provided care to patients in private practice for six years in Royal Oak. She joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2015.
Residing locally with her husband and three children, Dr. Ignatius is fluent in three languages. She enjoys painting, listening to audiobooks and spending time with her family and friends.
